Service Description

7 Principles Couple Workshop: A workshop for couples who want more from their relationship. Based on the New York Times Bestseller The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work, this eight-week educational workshop uses pioneering research by Dr. John Gottman and Nan Silver to share practical, approachable ways to build lasting relationships. Over the course of this virtual series, the two of you will participate in concrete exercises to help improve your friendship, communication, and conflict management skills. Please be aware that this is not therapy: couples will not be asked to share personal information with others. By the end of this workshop, you and your partner will have learned how to build and maintain a solid foundation of friendship, what healthy compromise looks like, how to overcome gridlock, solve your solvable problems, and create shared meaning. Open to 12 couples, this group will be held every Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 starting April 23rd. The investment will be $80 per couple per session with a 7/8 session commitment. If paid in full upfront, cost will be $500, a $140 savings. All fees are non-refundable. The cost of the workshop includes the Gottman couples kit which contains 2 copies of the Seven Principles Couples Guide, 1 copy of the book Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work, and the Gottman Couples card deck. This workshop is suited for: Couples in a committed relationship Every stage of relationship or life Those who wish to enhance a good relationship. Those needing better conflict management skills and tools. People of all backgrounds, ages, faiths, genders, and sexual orientations. Couples considering therapy but who are not “ready” yet. This workshop is not suited for couples dealing with: Severe relationship distress Emotional abuse Domestic violence Active addictions (alcohol, drug, gambling) Significant mental health challenges (one or both partners) We hope to see you there!
